Hey- just catching up! Happy New Year! I’m really looking forward to the Women and Mars research results! Don’t fret about the blog- facebook addiction subsides and then it’s back to real writing I think. Best wishes for the new year…. I’m sure hoping it’s a better one for me. Perhaps there’s something about even years?

My 2009 was pretty much devoted to building Sasstrology. I lost my last full-time freelance gig in March, and have somehow survived the year thanks to blog ads and partnerships, my VISA, and family. I hope 2010 I can become more self-sufficient, because debt S-U-C-K-S.

April, you are most awesome whether you’re writing one sentence or 1000 words.

Hmm, assessing focus and goals in communication… Sounds like you are giving the New Year and Mercury Retrograde in Capricorn their introspective due. Hey, could there be a ‘dream’ reflected in the accounting: What if you did take a Cancerian Airstream shell – your astrology! – out on the open road of communication last year?

In 2009 I reconciled myself to spending $1100 a month on a tiny granny flat and moved to North Park. After making the rounds of 5 lawyers until my Dad found one he could live with, we finally created a Living Trust. I wrote a 60-page report on Astro Feng Shui and have sold 60 of them so far. My article on that topic became the cover story of The Mountain Astrologer in August. I took an EFT training and did a great deal of tapping that came to naught. After saying Yes one more time, I finally said No to my irresistible Latin lover. My cat Bessie died of a brain tumor. I feng shui’d someone’s house who hadn’t been in a relationship in years, and suddenly she became engaged!I led several profound rituals for my small goddess group. I became more patient with my dying–but eternally irascible–father. I learned to live without tactile affection. I lost my bread-and-butter job. I visited southern New Mexico in 100-degree weather. I continued to salsa dance. I spent New Years sick with a cold, but hopeful about 2010.
