I’m reading Orhan Pamuk’s Snow, which is quite good, but I haven’t had time to get back to it for about two weeks. I also have a growing pile of New Yorkers. I can usually get to the movie reviews, but haven’t even managed that. But the big deadline is past, so hopefully now. I also have Urrea’s The Hummingbird’s Daughter waiting. Three poetry books are also on my nightstand, as is my journal. My ephemeris is now on the floor beside my desk. I’ve just started listening to Ruth Reichl’s Garlic and Sapphires, and I have Pimsleur Spanish IV awaiting as well.

It's filled with the nastiest pictures of dead bodies. There isn't a horror movie that comes close to this. I just cover them up with a card until I can look at 'em in the daylight.
